Key Responsibilities
1. Calibration Management
• Develop and maintain calibration schedules for all instruments (e.g., vernier callipers, micrometres, gauges,
CMMs, pressure gauges, temperature sensors).
• Perform in-house calibration and coordinate with external NABL-accredited labs.
• Maintain calibration records, certificates, History card and traceability.
• ERP related knowledge
• All Gauges & Instruments & Fixtures Entry in ERP.
• MSA Study perform as per yearly plan.
• Gauge & Fixture make by outside supplier as per drawing.
• Laser marking and colour code system maintain on all gauges & Fixtures & Instruments.
• Packing all Gauges & Instrument & Fixtures if material send for calibration.
• Record maintains of all stock & missing instruments & Gauges & Fixtures.
• New instrument purchase as per department’s requirement.
• Part validation with all fixtures & Gauges and make part masters as per fixtures & gauges.
• Verification all outside certificates as per acceptance criteria.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and periodic verification of tools.
3. Quality Compliance
• Ensure compliance with standards like ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and customer-specific requirements.
• Support internal and external audits related to calibration systems.
• Verify calibration certificates and ensure traceability to national/international standards.
4. Technical Skills
• Knowledge of measuring instruments (mechanical, electrical, thermal).
• Ie Vernier calliper, micrometre, bore gauge
• Height gauge, slip gauges (gauge blocks), Furnaces, thermocouples, pyrometers, micrometre, Check CNC machine
positioning accuracy & Verify furnace temperature uniformity. Backlash and positioning accuracy checks
• Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Familiarity with calibration standards and traceability concepts.
• Basic understanding of laser marking & CMM operation (preferred).
